Open moment at the national museum of modern art in Tokyo

Machiawase (Rendezvous) by Aterier Bow-wow

Here is the front lawn of national museum of modern art in Takebashi, Tokyo.
This place has a sculpture designed by Barbara Hepworth, and faces surrounding city.
Although here was the public space for people, they didn't use this space because they didn't know whether they could enter this place or not.

Aterier Bow-wow wanted people to use this comfortable lawn and expected new behaviors which are caused by using this place.
So, they designed the structures like animal as a installation project so that people could use this space  comfortably.

They succeeded in making public space which has been not used open to the city.
